John Fyfe
John has been tattooing for over 10 years, but originally started off as a traditional hand artist, meaning he tattooed without the use of machines. He perfected this method, which resulted in soft-looking designs, with fast healing and minimal swelling and redness. He had been interested in learning to use machines for a while, and after bringing his portfolio into Heaven ‘n’ Hell (he was sent by another studio that had no space to accommodate him), Mary decided that with a portfolio as good as his, it would be a loss of talent not to help him learn what he needed. So John was mentored by Kev, teaching him how to set up and tune machines (since he already knew about actually tattooing). John learned quickly, and now tattoos part-time, with both machine and hand work.
John’s work has a very natural feel, and he has found a love for black and grey work, although his colour work is always vibrant.

Hi John
Thanks for doing my tattoo, I love it. Was not planning on actually having one done that day but glad I did. What a nervous wreck I was but all a fuss about nothing. Mine is a one only but I will be reccommending you to anyone that asks, enjoyed the friendly advice and atmosphere. See you in a few weeks for check up.
