Yes, we now have Tattoo Aftercare in stock again! This fantastic aftercare is all we recommend these days, due it being made with all natural products, and the fact that it was designed specifically for healing tattoos! This stuff sells out pretty fast, so if you need a tub, pop in soon!

Just a reminder as well that we will be taking on an APPRENTICE BODY PIERCER in the Spring. Due to Amii going on maternity leave soon, we will be looking for someone to train up as a body piercer.  The successful candidate must be articulate and able to demonstrate a basic understanding of piercing and MUST be prepared to spend the first 6mths working on the reception desk / answering phones / cleaning and generally running about after all of the other studio members.

Hello again folks! How is everyone? Well, I decided it was time to put up another of my favourite tattoos of the moment!

This was meant to be done before our move into the new studio, but due to our poor wee Kev putting his back out, it was moved to last week. This was done on Fraser, who is in the process of getting a full old school tattoo sleeve, and this is the newest addition.  I personally have a love for old school tattoos thanks to Kev’s influence, but I still think this is a nice, bright tattoo, with a slightly different take on the ‘Love’ and ‘Hate’ theme. Swallows are a pretty big theme right now in fashion and jewellery also, but I personally think they always look best as tattoos.

What do you think of old school tattoos? Are they your cup of tea?

Just a reminder as well that we are looking for a BODY PIERCING APPRENTICE, due to start in the Spring. It will be an unpaid position, but with a guarantee of a permanent paid position. This will NOT lead to a tattoo apprenticeship. We are looking for someone who is hard working, eager to learn and easy to get along with. General duties in the beginning with involve cleaning, answering phones, dealing with customers and more. A basic understanding of piercings is also needed.

Remember, not rose-tinted glasses believing this is a Miami Ink spin off! This is a busy working studio, and not a glamorous job by any means. It is, however, very rewarding if you’re willing to work hard.

How bad does one body piercer be before something is done about it?????

Well folks what do you think of this one???? The girl above was what greeted us this morning before I’d even had my first coffee (not a good time) to say we were shocked is a bit of an understatement!!!!.  This tongue had been pierced less than 24hrs before (yes that’s right) at another studio which I shan’t name but I’m sure many of you can guess.

The swelling was so bad that her tongue was hanging over the side of her teeth.  It was swollen to such an extent that she was starting to have breathing difficulties, not to mention the pain that she was in which was intense.  It was pierced way too far back and was in fact squint.

I had the task of trying to remove this from her mouth which wasn’t easy I can tell you.  Once I did manage to remove it I was even more shocked to discover that it had been pierced with a bar so short that I’m amazed the piercer (and I use this term loosely believe me) managed to get it inserted.  If this had been in her mouth much longer then she would have been a casualty case.

On going back to him she was told that “hey it’s not that bad as her tongue wasn’t blue!”, and even had the audacity to ask others in the shop what they thought, (mind you they probably know more about piercing than he does) do people have to be corpses before he will admit that he has screwed up.

I have given her the information on who to complain to and I really hope that she does.  We are getting fed up with the amount of his work that comes in to our studio to be repaired, but don’t worry we will never turn anyone away.

Perhaps he should apply for our Body Piercing Apprenticeship – what do you guys think?

Body Piercing Apprentice Wanted

First of all, thanks to everyone who popped in for our launch party! It was a great, busy weekend! And more of you guys got to see our lovely new studio!

Now, the main reason for this update. An opportunity has come up at Heaven ‘n’ Hell that certainly doesn’t come up very often!

As a few of you may have noticed, our Body Piercing Apprentice, Amii, is going to have a baby and so we at Heaven ‘n’ Hell are going to be interviewing for an apprentice body piercer (aged 18yrs or over). This will be an unpaid position and will be available from late spring. If you are the right candidate it will of course lead to a paid position. The successful candidate must be articulate and able to demonstrate a basic understanding of piercing and MUST be prepared to spend the first 6mths working on the reception desk / answering phones / cleaning and generally running about after all of the other studio members.

You will be able to work under pressure in what is a very busy studio. This is not the glamourous job that many folk naively think it is so no rose coloured spectacles please. Also please take note that this will NOT have any chance of becoming a tattoo apprenticeship.

We’ve already had the *ahem* practice launch party (and a good/inebriated time was had by all!) as you can see above,  so now it’s time to spread the joy with you lot!

Remember that we now have TWO artists working on Fridays and Saturdays! So we have the occasional walk in spot, and it also means that if you and a friend want tattooed at the same time, this is now an option! Just make sure you let us know at the time of booking.
